Terrible Bloggers Apologize with BACON

April 9th, 2009

So yes, so silent for a while, so sorry. BUT this will hopefully make up for absences or abscesses or any other thing that might be construed as neglect.

Dear frozen mammoth friend and artist in her own right Jessica Campbell showed this to me today. Get prepared for hours and hours of fun, friends.

Go to this website:

http://bacolicio.us//http:/www.artnet.com

Yes, it is visual arts oriented, folks. It is Art Net. It is very in line with what we do here. What about a more musically inclined space online? Look no further:

See any relation between the two sites? See the potential for you to mix it up however you like?

Make your own art!

Endless possibilities folks. Endless.

  3. Sorry on April 11, 2009 2:15 am

Listen, I told Jessica Campbell about this.
We are sitting here right now.
Someone will regret this comment tomorrow.

    That someone is me.

But seriously, this has been about the ether forever. FOR EVER.

So wait a minute, just because this has been around forever means I shouldn’t post about it? Sorry, sorry, but I have no affinity or need to just post about the newest you-have-never-seen-it-before things. Me old brain just don’t work like that. If it’s fun and new for me, or fun and old for me, I am going to put it up, and not worry about taking a poll as to what kids have or have not been initiated. It’s a BACON WEBSITE. It is timeless, and always hilarious.

I have posted here about A.A.Milne and Kathe Kollwitz, both of whom have been dead for much longer than this bacon post has been of note. They certainly don’t offer new work but work worth noting regardless. Just because everyone has a first kiss doesn’t make the event any less spectacular, (or often just memorable) for the people experiencing it. I hope we’re not really that obsessed with cutting edge at this point, or worrying about who has seen what and what is old news.

    Alright! Parry and thrust.

Hey crabmeister! I think Bridget was joking, mostly about me taking credit for something that she told me about.

    C U on internt

Also, it is SO HARD to tell what people mean on the internet without emoticons.

  7. kit on April 11, 2009 12:26 pm

    CRABMEISTER FOREVER.

  8. kit on April 11, 2009 12:26 pm

ha ha. the best way of getting out some crabmeister emotions is through internet ambiguity.

    yeah.

  9. Bridget on April 11, 2009 4:52 pm

Yeah, by “someone will regret this comment tomorrow” I absolutely meant the me of the future, which turned out to be an accurate prediction. Gotta learn that when you can’t use the internet cause you’ve got too many beers in your hands, it’s probably best to just not do it.

And the thing about the bacon ether was, at the time and in my brain, a note about how pointless it was for me to try and high jack the credit in the first place, since no one has a claim on this interbacon; it has been and forever will be, and it belongs to us all. Sorry for any misunderstandings. I am looking into childproofing this computer.
